International Pediatric Nephrology Association – Teaching Course (IPNATC2018)

Pediatric Nephrology is an upcoming subspecialty in Nepal with few care providers in major cities. Most of the cases are managed by pediatricians and family physicians. There is a need to create awareness among pediatricians, pediatric trainees and family physicians about the approach to and management of common pediatric renal problems. Pediatricians involved in the management of critically ill children should also be competent to perform life saving procedures like peritoneal dialysis in children with acute kidney injury in resource limited settings.

Objectives of this course
  • To provide an updated approach and management of common renal problems in children based on recent guidelines.
  • To enable paediatricians to diagnose acute kidney injury in children and perform acute peritoneal dialysis.
